The Checkerboard Mesa is located in the western section of the park, where the rock surface has many patterns and lines to use for compositional elements.  

I used a polarizing filter here, but not fully polarized, as skies in high-altitude areas such as Zion can turn an unnaturally deep blue if fully polarized.
